he Rocksplit House by Cometa Architects was featured in Green Building Magazine (Taiwan), a respected international publication focused on sustainable architecture and material innovation. Among numerous international projects, Rocksplit was selected for the cover, a distinction that underscores the project’s architectural and environmental significance. Located in the rugged terrain of Kea Island, Greece, and designed by Victor González Martí and Faidra Matziaraki, the house is conceived as an extension of the landscape — seamlessly embedded within a rocky Mediterranean valley. The article highlights the project’s commitment to local craftsmanship, its use of dry-stone construction, and a traditional Greek system known as kotounto, which naturally channels rainwater and prevents moisture accumulation.
